Reset.

December 3, 2021

Someone asked me on Monday, “What do you do when you really want to take a break, but you need to keep going?”

It was a very refreshing question, and one I really needed to think about. Yah, of course I need to rest. Of course I need a break. Of course, quite frankly, I [often] want to literally do nothing.

But do people know that? Do I show that enough?

Maybe. I try to. The need for REAL rest is critical, of course. Maybe it could be more transparent though? Probably. Definitely, I suspect. This person knew to ask because he sees me almost every day, but you don’t.

Yes, I LOVE “what I do”, what we are all about here at KORU, and, some days it would be nice to “just stop”.

So, what do I remember to rely upon, no matter what?

Yes, as I say in this video…

1) COLD SHOWERS

2) MOVEMENT

3) BELIEFS

The cold is easy. Truly. It is just a matter of doing it. You won’t freeze. In fact, you’ll fucking love it. Movement requires simply starting. Get on the floor if you need to. It’s probably best to. Before you know it, you’ll be up and going…

Beliefs, though? That’s a big one. That’s the tough one. That’s the crème de la crème. In some way, everything basically comes down to beliefs, even the cold.

Yes, nutrition matters, as does consistent sleep, but when it comes to a day-to-day working foundation, no matter what’s going on, I would prioritize ice, movement and a solid attitude any day.
