Keeping it simple.

Keeping it simple.

Distance running has never been my forte’. For as long as I can remember, in fact, anything over a few miles has always kicked my ass.

Maybe it’s ‘cuz I’m crazy, or because I drove over 7 hours this weekend to the Catskills and back, or because I’m just convinced that there is more to discover about this whole being a body thing than BS “can’t” stories and old identity issues…

Or maybe it’s just not flashy enough to want to do?

Probably all of the above.

Whatever the story is, this is clearly necessary, so today I chose to find the motivation to do 15 minutes, 12 minutes, and 9 minutes, at any easy pace, with 4 minutes rest in between.

Either way, without a doubt…

1) Under no circumstances is it helpful to sit in the drivers seat of a car for more than, I don’t know, 45 minutes. It’s completely absurd how normal this must be for so many of us. Tight hips to say the least!!!

2) Doing this without having had any coffee (and without music) was exceptionally gross.

3) Once again, I’m aware, I CAN.

Happy Monday.
