Values require context

Values require context. For example, walking..

You can walk with your head way out in front of your hips.

You can walk with the right arm swinging with the right leg, and the left arm with the left leg.

Or with one arm stuck in the same position.

Or with your lower back really arched.

Heck, you can even go on your toes, or full Monty Python! Rock that silly walk. 🤙🏼

All of these options and capacities are valuable in a certain context. Sometimes you need to be in a hurry, or to look at your 📱, or hold the 🐩 leash. Or wear 👠. It is ALL valuable. Especially the silly walk.

The only really relevant questions are...

1) Are you aware of what you are doing? Inevitably, there is an effect. Is it on purpose? IN-TENSION-al?

2) What do you value?

If you value efficiency, creativity, continuity, connectivity, and ultimately functionality, then the last way of walking is probably ideal for you. This does not mean in ALL contexts that something else is bad, it just highlights the reality of how VALUES need to be established with an awareness of context. Otherwise, quite frankly, we’re gonna have some unintended consequences...

Unless we’re just silly. That’s always good. No matter what.
