Amy has been investigating mindfulness and self-expression since childhood. She began learning Alexander Technique in 1989, and became a certified teacher in 1995 after completing her training with Alan Katz. She is a certified teaching member of Alexander Technique International. Amy created Way Opens to bring together people interested in learning and teaching bodymind methods of awakening. She has taught at Yale, Villanova, Brooklyn College, and along the banks of the Delaware Canal. She holds teacher qualification status from the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School and has been leading classes in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) since 2014. Amy enjoys practicing Qigong and offering classes throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond.
